Toolkit Release Notes 2016 R2.1
This Toolkit 2016 R2.1 release (Build 2016.2.1.17349) includes bug fixes and enhancements.
Software Requirements
The following software is required to successfully use Toolkit.
Server
- Windows Server® 2008 (32- or 64-bit edition) OR
- Windows Server® 2008 R2 OR
- Windows Server® 2012 R2
- Microsoft® .NET Framework is required to use Toolkit's .NET component
(1.1 or 2.0 minimum — if .NET is not detected during installation, you are offered the option to have .NET installed for you.)
Desktop
(32- or 64-bit editions)
- Microsoft Windows® 7, 8, 8.1, 10 OR
- Microsoft Windows VistaTM
- Microsoft .NET Framework is required to use Toolkit's .NET component
(1.1 or 2.0 minimum — if .NET is not detected during installation, you are offered the option to have .NET installed for you.)
Hardware Requirements
The minimum hardware requirements for Toolkit are:
Server and desktop
- 125 MB of RAM
- 25 MB of hard disk space (for application)
Changes and Improvements
- Windows 10 is now supported for desktop installations.
- The StitchPDF method is improved significantly. Files now typically process 60% faster when compared to the StitchPDF process time of earlier releases.

When StitchPDF was called with the height and width values set to 0, the output PDF did not use the input height and width as expected. |
Code changes were made related to how the output page height and width are calculated, and how oversized images are sized during stitching. These changes resolved the issue. |

When calling MergeFile while using initial view settings configured using properties from the InitialViewInfo object, the output PDF did not use the initial view settings. |
Changes were made to the internal MergeFile code which resolved the issue. |

When the input file contains initial view objects, the 2016 R.2 implementation of CopyForm behaves differently than the 2011 version. |
General updates to the code resolved this issue. |

These issues related to checkbox display after flattening the file were resolved. |
Code changes related to how check box groups are handled resolved these issues. |
15545 |
When using Toolkit 2016 R.2, if bookmarks were included in the output file, the initial view did not display the bookmark panel by default. Earlier versions of Toolkit did display the bookmark panel by default. |
The code has been revised and now if an output PDF includes bookmarks, the bookmark panel displays by default. |
15673 |
After merging files, there were issues with bookmarks in the output file. |
General updates to the code resolved these issues. |

These file specific bugs were also fixed. |
