Software Requirements
The following software is required to successfully use Meridian.
Server
- Windows Server® 2003 (32- or 64-bit edition) OR
- Windows Server® 2008 (32- or 64-bit edition) OR
- Windows Server® 2012 64-bit edition
- Microsoft® .NET 3.5 Framework
Client
(32- or 64-bit editions)
- Microsoft® Windows 8.1 OR
- Microsoft® Windows 8 OR
- Microsoft® Windows 7 OR
- Microsoft® Windows VistaTM OR
- Microsoft® Windows XP
- Microsoft® .NET 3.5 is recommended ( .NET is used if available, otherwise C++ is used)
Note: For client machines running Windows XP and Windows 8 that do not have .NET or the Visual Studio 2008 C++ Redistribution package installed:
Download and install the Visual Studio 2008 C++ Redistribution package before installing a Meridian printer.
Hardware Requirements
The minimum hardware requirements for Meridian are:
Server
- 350 MB of RAM
- 175 MB of hard disk space (for application)
Client
- 256 MB of RAM
- 25MB of hard disk space (for the application)

By default, the Meridian static printer now creates a file named "print.pdf" when printing from Microsoft Internet Explorer. |

In the server-side CUI, after selections were made in these settings: |
Settings made in the server-side CUI now change the default settings in the client, and the changes are saved. |

When certain Microsoft PowerPoint files containing Japanese characters were converted to PDFs, there were errors in the font and font alignment. |
Converted PowerPoint files containing Japanese characters now appear as expected. |

When the Meridian API attempted to convert an image to PDF the process failed. |
Images can now be converted to PDF using the Meridian API. |

The PostScript file was not being saved in API conversions with KeepPortDocument property set to True. |
The KeepPortDocument property now works as expected. |

In the Default profile, after setting the Overwrite Method to Never Overwrite or Concatenate to Existing, PDF files were overwritten. |
Existing PDF files are no longer overwritten when 'Never Overwrite' or 'Concatenate to Existing' settings are selected. |

When copying text from a PDF and pasting it into a Word Document, the font formatting was lost. |
When pasting text copied from a PDF (if the font is installed on your machine) the font remains the same as the font used in the PDF. |

On Windows XP and Windows 8, Meridian would intermittently report CDateTime errors upon initiation of print job. |
This was due to a time calculation bug affecting the C++ Fetch application, which is used on machines where .NET is not installed. This issue has been resolved. |
