Editing the DocConverter XML Service File to Convert End-User-Defined Characters (EUDC)

(DocConverter 2015 R4.0 and higher.) If DocConverter does not convert EUDC correctly, you can enable EUDC in the DC_Service.xml file.

To edit the DocConverter XML service file:

1. In a text editor, open the DC_Service.xml file found in:
   C:\ProgramData\activePDF\Settings\DocConverter\DC_Service.xml
2. Scroll to the bottom of the entries, and above the </DocConverter:DC.Service>tag,
   find the <DocConverter:EnableEUDCFonts>0</DocConverter:EnableEUDCFonts> and change the 0 to 1:

<DocConverter:EnableEUDCFonts>1</DocConverter:EnableEUDCFonts>

3. Restart the DocConverter service.
