DocConverter Print to PDF fails

• DocConverter Printer not created with in Printer and driver
• Unable to use Print to PDF with DC

Probable Cause:

• Permissions writing to the registry

Resolution:

If using Windows Server 2012 R2 verify the following window updates exist

• KB 2995388
• KB  2996799

If applying the updates and the DocConverter printer still does not exist, run the following:

Make sure the print spooler service is running:
Server Manager > Configuration > Services > printer spooler

Backup your Registry first! Bad things can happen if something goes wrong!!

Remove the registry key For DocConverter:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\APDCMon]
